10 Months

Little man turned 10 months old last weekend.  TEN MONTHS – as in only TWO more months until he is ONE. I can’t even handle it.  He is into everything.  All. The. Time.  Doors have to be kept closed, cabinets locked, anything small has to be put up or it will end up in his mouth.  Even though he started walking at 9 ½ months, he still chooses to crawl most everywhere because it’s faster.  In August he moves up to the younger toddlers class at school. This means he will be sleeping on a cot, sitting up at a table and chairs and will have to give up the paci.  He only wants the paci when he’s asleep anyways, so it shouldn’t be that big of a deal (fingers crossed).

Addi loves her brother SO much.  It’s unlike anything I’ve ever seen.  Mom and I were talking this morning about how Addi has never been really jealous of him.  She will, however, take a toy out of his hand in a heartbeat.  Jack’s teacher told me last week that both their class and Addi’s class were outside at the same time (Jack’s class plays on the little toddler playground that has a separate fence around it) and Jack saw Addi and started crying for her.  Addi saw her brother upset and she got upset because she couldn’t get to him.  I hope their love for each other never changes.

I’m skipping the monthly weight/height questions b/c I have no idea!

Eating:  He’s eating big people food now! We have almost stopped with the baby food.  As long as our food can be cut/torn up small enough, he will eat what we eat. He still has a horrible gag reflex, but he’s getting the hang of it.  He’s also started drinking exclusively from a sippy cup (except his night time bottle).  Through trial and error we finally found the cup that works best for him and he’s done great so far!

Sleeping:  He sleeps from 6:30/7:00 ish to 5:30.  During the weekends, he takes a morning and an afternoon nap.  At school, they skip the morning nap, so he sleeps about 2 hours in the afternoon.

Likes:  His sister, cheerios, goldfish (well, any food really), WATER – this kid loves bath time!

Dislikes:  Staying still.
